Another yummy recipe from Kathryn!
English Toffee
2 cubes butter (1/2 pound
3 Tblsp. Karo Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 Tblsp. water
1/2 pkg chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup of chopped nuts
Mix butter, sugar, water and syrup in a large, heavy saucepan. Cook to hard crack stage. Pour mixture onto a jellyroll pan covered with the chopped nuts. Sprinkle chocolate chips onto the top of the warm toffee and spread smooth as it melts. Crack when it cools completely. Enjoy!
